A11 northbound and southbound between Tuttles Interchange to Thickthorn Roundabout – Renewal of road markings and studs
I am writing to tell you that we plan to carry out road marking and stud replacement works along the A11 both northbound and southbound at Tuttles Interchange, Wymondham. This is to refresh areas where markings have worn out or reached the end of their life and improve reflectivity.
We plan to complete this work over five nights starting Monday 8 June 2026. We will work between 8pm and 6am, weather permitting.
Closures and diversions
To carry out the work safely, we will need to close the A11 northbound and southbound, in two phases, between Tuttles Interchange and Thickthorn Roundabout and divert traffic as follows:
Northbound Diversion:
At Tuttles Interchange, follow signs onto the B1135. At the next 2 roundabouts, turn right onto Norwich Road. Continue along Norwich Road to Thickthorn Interchange, where you can rejoin the A11 or continue onto the A47.
Southbound Diversion:
Please follow the same diversion route in the opposite direction.
To enable works to take place on the B1135, the A11 northbound exit slip at Tuttles Interchange will also be closed during this phase. Motorists will need to continue along the A11 northbound and join the signed diversion route at Thickthorn Interchange.
Maps of the diversions can be found below.
